This was a hard one. All that way in only one hour and a half. After taking the baton from John I was off like a shot only to come to a crawl on the oozing mud of a rapidly disappearing path.

Energy was failing me on the way up to the Coire Mhic Fhesrchair and the endless boulder slopes to the summit! The view was limitless to the far horizons. My spirit soared above the heights, and far to the west beyond the bejewelled pearly Minch lay the far Hebrides, dark and brooding, guarding the gateway to infinity.

On I sped at a cracking pace to descend down 'Ed's rake,' a miserable 1500 ft of life threatening boulders that Ed recommended as a “fast” descent.... a fast descent to hell more like. At last it was over and I returned to the mothership to see the throng luxuriating in the afternoon sun.
