Woken up early by Diana, quick breakfast then up the Ulapool road for the walk in – right up to a Munro summit for this one. Saw lots of dwarf cornel on the way up, also a good patch of globeflower – large yellow buttercup on a ledge – always nice to see this one. Top was scree and saw the first dotterel of the trip up here.

Just got organised, flag up and into the bivvy when Tony appeared so off I go onto Sgurr Mor and down onto B.L.M.F. In quick time as a good path had been cleared through the boulder strewn ground to the summit – nice one too, wonder who did all the work.

Between the summits on the return from this outlier is a superb shelter now looking like part of the boulder field. 50M traverse across snowpatch then onto the ridge proper for faster moving – more dotterel, golden plover and a ptarmigan. Also some amazing terasettes (solifluction lobes?)

Last two summits fairly easy and found a reasonable descent avoiding big rocky slope. Across a nice soft bog and then onto the long tarmac road down the glen. Seemed a long way but made reasonable time, very glad to see the car.

I had slept well that night, but had still to get up early to check that my knees were up to it, and if so, to ensure that I was ready at Garbat. A jog down the road was not painless, but was a World better than yesterday afternoon's start so I decided to go.

Alwyn drove me up in the van for a relaxed wait at Garbat. I pottered around not worried about this short one at all with plenty of anticipated rest (relatively.)
