Had tried to sleep on journey to Schiehallion car park but not too successful, too warm! Relaxed around car park for most of afternoon, feeling very tired after two sleepless nights.

Later in pm took baton off Craig and shot out of car park grounding sump in process! Fast drive around to Blair Atholl with Ifor navigating and dropping him off for his 4hr run over Ring of Tarf. Mark and I continue up Glen Tilt to Forest Lodge, where we meet Charlie Pirie who doesn't know anything about us! (All arrangements and permissions had been made with the estate factor.)

I cycled up Glen Tilt, against the wind for 4 to 5 miles to a path junction where the bike broke! - loose wheel nut; tried fixing it with a stone but no luck so continued on foot to Tarf bothy – arrived 8.30 after 2hrs; no-one there so had a look around and planned route; about to make log entry when Ifor arrived with a big shout across the glen.

Shot off up Carn a' Chlamain arriving at top at 32.23mins; sun going down but very windy again on top. Fast descent down south ridge to Balaneasie (20.45); Mark set off at 10.02, My total time 53.08, 5mins inside schedule.

Managed to persuade Charlie Pirie to drive his landrover up track to bring back Ifor; Ifor seemed happy to see us.

Drove van and car back to Spittal of Glenshee, arrived approx 1am feeling very tired.
