Fran Loots - My shout out for additional support saw more of the Strathearn Harriers step up along with folk from my home village Comrie Perthshire then, the wonderful Emily Greaves stepped in to support me on a night leg over the peat hags, where I was literally crawling at points up to Sgiath Chuil then descending into the mist after a faint promise of a sunrise. Next we were ascending in zero visibility to Meall Glas before rejoining our route up from to Glen Lochay. Emily Greaves then undertook a cycle that would extinguish many a person. Truly phenomenal. A special night on a special journey.

Sarah Dunn - Another great aspect of this adventure has been the opportunity to do end to end runs taking less frequented lines through the hills. Yesterdayโ€™s traverse from the Braes of Balquhidder to the shores of Loch Katrine turned out to be quite the epic on some routes less travelled.

Seven Munros lay along the way; each characterised by very steep grassy slopes, with significant areas of rock and crags, and some complex micro topography. Some careful nav was required to find sensible lines, especially when the mist came in and darkness fell. We started by overheating in shorts and vest, and finished drenched to the core from relentless rain during the last hour.

I hadnโ€™t been sure if I was still mentally strong enough to enjoy this adventure, but as soon as we were onto the first ridge the mountains did their magic; I relaxed and was able to soak up the experience. Lynn was the perfect partner for the evening, with her quiet confidence supporting stress free problem solving along the way.

Yet another fun and different experience ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธ ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿ” ๐Ÿ˜
