Drove from mothership to where Graeme was to walk out. Mark got some tea on for him and we spent ½ hour waiting then lay down and had some sleep. Graeme eventually arrived and the tea was remade. Drove down to Loch Hourn and started walking at 6.07. Mark started running at 6.30 and was steaming along when he overtook me. Walked in cag and overtrousers although at one point I saw some blue sky. Took 2 ¾ hours to walk in – Eddie measured it at 5.8 miles, I think 8!

Was very windy at changeover. Put flag up and lay down in best spot I could find – expected Mark in at most 1 hour. After 1 ½ got into bivvy bag. When Mark was an hour late started thinking about mountain rescue. Eventually he turned up 1 ½ hour late – he had been in the wrong valley coming down.

Set off taking everything e.g. ???? top, torch! First hill was okay followed old fence. Coming off got stuck in crags, all slabby and small bits of grass.Tried 3 times to get down and got within 20 metres of bottom but ended going back up 10 mins +. Rest of no.2 okay.

Slow going down to cross river 35 mins, then tired up 3000 ft hill. Slow to next changeover with Craig. 5-6 minutes down on schedule. Beautiful trip back once on bike.
