VWMR23 SCHOOL HOUSE, OYKEL BRIDGE TO BENMORE LODGE
We ventured down to the school house the night before. Sarah Dunn was doing a night solo leg. We got there in good time and had a swim as the weather was again amazing. The night never really came. It just got dusky.
I had lost mobile signal, so no updates on Sarah's progress. I didn't really sleep. I was anxious I'd not be ready for her. I eventually gave up on sleep and got fully dressed. Katy Boocock arrived with Sarah's van in the early hours and an update on her progress. I put the kettle on but Sarah arrived soon after and I was out and ready. She was knackered but clearly ecstatic with her run.
The squirrel was secured and I set off over the bumpy and dusty track, adrenaline pushing me on towards Fran and Sue.
It was a beautiful morning, squirrel (real ones) deer and voles crossed my path. The sun came up and Fran and sue savege came into sight waving me into the change over point.
Another successful leg.
