There is an amazing team of women behind the scenes. Those at the heart of this adventure include Sarah Dunn Vicky Thornton Hazel Dean and Angela Mudge who have supported this crazy idea from the start.

Today we introduce Sarah Dunn - who enjoys the challenge of long routes and mega distances. A competent orienteer Mar Orienteering Club - MAROC Scottish Orienteering and Deeside Runners Group as well as our spreadsheet queen. Sarah will lead the team as we head over the sea to Skye to start this epic adventure.

And some more introductions...I'm Fran Loots Scottish Orienteering and a member of Tayside Orienteers and Strathearn Harriers Members. I was lucky to find enough women who thought this idea worth getting on board with and feel chuffed to have the support of so many fab women in Scotland.

Hazel is another Scottish Orienteering regular Forth Valley Orienteers (FVO Members and Friends) who is a skilled navigator and strong runner and members of Ochil Hill Runners. She also is an ace golf player and generally talented sports woman.

Next we introduce Vicky Thornton another orienteer Scottish Orienteering with Forth Valley Orienteers (FVO Members and Friends). Vicky has also extensive cycling experience both off and on road and is another all rounder outdoor gal. Vicky like Hazel Dean Sarah Dunn and Fran Loots have been part of this venture from early planning days.

As the start of the relay rapidly approaches many team members have been honing their fitness in the hills. Sue Savege has committed to joining the relay for the majority of its duration and has been sharpening her mountain fitness with several trips to Skye, which should help ensure that the relay gets off to a flying start. Sue is looking forward to tackling some of the more technical Munros during the challenge.
