Ross at last got good weather as well as daylight in the most beautiful dawn. This was the only leg with which he was familiar as I had suggested that he looked at it the day after the Stuc a' Chroin race. We had had great weather then, but nothing to match this gem of a morning.

His two Munros have since become four as substantial tops on the ridge have been promoted since the 90s which would make this leg longer but even more rewarding today. Even so these are 2 stunning Munros and a glorious leg. I only hope that he though the early morning was worth it – he certainly hadn't been having it easy till now.
