9.40am – fast changeover with Ifor on main road next to mothership. Steady climb up burn from roadside contouring around (north side) Cruach Cruinn and navigating carefully around forest towards Beinn Dubhcraig – very steep climb up and arrived straight at top.

Carefully off on bearing initially following path but soon lost it in rocks – picked up flat ground and turned west towards col, mist cleared and saw it below. Followed Eddie's recommended route towards Ben Oss, initially good on grassy track but cut up too soon on bearing and ended up in rocks and struggled upwards – arriving on top took bearing and found summit approx 10 yds away!!

Bearing off top reaching first flat ground and gradually bearing more to the west via lochan to col – mist cleared again and good view of rest of route i.e. down to col and up Ben Lui. Long climb and seemed to go on for ages, arrived at top in very windy/ misty conditions. Bearing/ path off top, nearly wrong going too far south but cut back towards col and met Mark for quick changeover. 14 mins down on schedule but good time.

Descent through forest to car park – Eddie pinched my shorts for his next run and I returned to mothership shortless!!
