How much can you say about a run when it only takes 40 mins. Anyway with everybody at the mothership in sight I was glad to manage schedule time. It was lovely to run without sack or bumbag – baton down the back of my shorts; however any run of 40 mins is bound to be fairly intense and the burning in the legs generated on the way up lasted for several hours after the run.

I am beginning to get restless now for the 'real' mountains and the night legs I know must be coming. The last two days have been on hills tainted with pylons, resevoirs and dams, hills without soaring ridges and massive cliffs and today, the objective, Meall nan Tarmachan sits just on the edge of a group of tops worthy of further exploration. The schedule dictates, however.
